The Sechelt Groves Guestbook

24 May 2006 - Got the answer to my question last Sunday when we heard chopping and went to investigate. Turned out to be a long-time aquaintance harvesting for her own cultural use. It was her first time in Hidden Grove and she commented on how beautiful it was. Came across other groups the same day so it looks like Hidden Grove has been "discovered" for that use.

17 May 2006 - Huge thanks to all those volunteers who are putting in time to improve the trails. The little paths we've been using are wide enough now to make them much more noticeable and more people are venturing off the main loop. Does anyone know who is harvesting cedar bark? Several trees have been stripped in the last couple of days . not that this is a new thing, as there was stipping last year too, but I wonder why whoever is doing it is only choosing trees right near the main paths.
